One of the things I like most about urban sketching is that it connects people.
You can arrive somewhere with a sketchbook and a pen, sit down next to someone you have never met before, and within minutes you are talking about drawing, materials, places you have visited and sketches you have made.
That feeling is especially strong during the International Urban Sketchers Symposiums.
When I attended the symposiums in Poznań and Toulouse, I brought some of my Proud to be a Sketcher stickers with me. I gave them to some of the sketchers I met there, just as a small reminder of this wonderful worldwide community.
It was fun to see them appear on sketchbooks, watercolor palettes, bottles and other pieces of sketching gear.
And that is really what the sticker is about.
It does not matter how long you have been sketching, what materials you use or what your style looks like. If you enjoy going out, observing the world and recording it in your sketchbook, you can be proud to be a sketcher.
A little badge for your sketching gear
The stickers are made to be used, not just kept somewhere in a drawer. They are water resistant, suitable for outdoor use and can be stuck on your sketchbook, watercolor palette, water bottle, laptop or whatever else travels with you on your sketching adventures.
