Most watercolor paint pans are made of plastic. I am now introducing my home made plant-based watercolor pans, starting with the empty half-pan size.
The idea of biodegradable watercolor paint pans is not just a pretty new product, but a new way of thinking about art supplies. I have been experimenting with various materials and methods to create an affordable, biodegradable, biobased alternative to traditional watercolor pans.
My pans can be recognised with a leaf logo on the side, to express that they are made of plants. They are of a sturdy quality and have the standard size that fits in most palettes that can hold watercolor pans. The empty pans are 3D printed in my studio and are now available in my shop. To avoid any unnecessary waste I keep low stock and produce what I sell.
